Visitors are most welcome to drop in on our Open Days. These are our regular Taster Days, Fun Days and Casual Croquet which runs every Wednesday from 6.00pm during the Summer.
Typically the Club will run three or four Taster Days each year, when members of the public are invited to try our wonderful game. Confirmed dates for up and coming Taster days will be posted here.
Each year we hold the Cub’s biggest fund raising event on the Sunday following the village carnival. We call this a “Family Fun Day” and for a small admission fee visitors can enjoy a range of entertaining games and challenges as well as trying their hand at croquet. Stalls such as “Bowling for a Lobster” and “Pull the String” are amongst the favourites. We usually offer a Hog Roast and some form of entertainment ranging from Cornish Wrassling (Wrestling) to a demonstration of how Gun Dogs are trained, to having a go at Fly Fishing casting. Our local Folk Band provide musical interludes throughout the day.
The confirmed date for the next “Family Fun Day” will be posted here.
The Club holds a fund raising Pub Quiz once a year at the St Agnes Hotel in the village. The confirmed date for the next quiz will be posted here.
